Dr. Daniel Takabi is the Director of School of Cybersecurity, Professor, and Batten Endowed Chair in Cybersecurity at Old dominion University (ODU). He has been doing research at the intersection of AI and cybersecurity for over a decade, has deep expertise in LLMs, AI security, adversarial machine learning, and autonomous agent systems. He has published over 100 papers in peer reviewed conferences and journals. His research has been supported by NSF, DoD, NSA, and Microsoft Fellowship with over $20M in funding. His team has investigated LLMs security, including the development of tools for multi-turn jailbreak analysis, backdoor attacks, and MCP security. His team also organizes a national AI security competition including AI red-teaming competition focused on attacks against LLMs.
